By Zhan Zhi LLearning Objectives: I want to design a game-based learning interactive for my students with hearing loss. Students are familiar with basic Singapore Sign Language letter signs but need more practice linking the signs to printed letters. Grade level: Primary 1 Student readiness level: Lower Progress (need more support) The game is based on: spelling words based on visuals to gain experience and unlock different accessories for their avatar that they can choose and equip from their inventory The objective of the game is to: building automaticity in letter to letter sign correspondence While playing the game, students should experience: words of increasing difficulty, moving from monosyllabic words to multisyllabic words, and they should be able to see an image describing the meaning of the words, as well as a picture of the SgSL or ASL sign (and state) where possible; each correct response will give 10 points, and student will level up after every 50 points. The interface should include: clickable navigation buttons, inventory display, dialogue boxes, progress tracking, decision buttons, a list of letter signs that students can choose from to spell the words. Ensure that the signs and letters are big enough for accessibility.
