About this Simulation

This simulation models irradiance distribution created by N point light sources passing through a rectangular aperture. Learners can adjust source positions, aperture dimensions, and observation parameters to visualize how multiple sources interact and create complex shadow and intensity patterns on a screen.

Learning objectives: Understand how aperture geometry affects light diffraction and shadow formation | Explore the superposition of irradiance from multiple coherent or incoherent point sources | Investigate relationships between source position, aperture size, and intensity distribution
