About this Simulation

This simulation models how a light source and object interact to create shadows. Learners manipulate the position of the lamp and object to observe how shadow length and position change. By adjusting variables and predicting graph patterns, students develop understanding of the geometric relationships between light, objects, and shadows.

Learning objectives: Understand how light source position affects shadow characteristics | Predict and verify relationships between object placement and shadow formation | Apply geometric reasoning to light and shadow problems
