About this Simulation

This interactive simulation models a bungee jumper undergoing simple harmonic motion after jumping from a platform. Learners can observe real-time displacement, velocity, and acceleration vectors alongside dynamically updating phase graphs that plot position versus velocity. By adjusting initial conditions and cord properties, students explore how energy transforms between gravitational potential, elastic potential, and kinetic energy throughout the oscillation cycle.

Learning objectives: Understand the relationship between position, velocity, and acceleration in SHM | Interpret and analyse phase space diagrams for oscillatory systems | Apply energy conservation principles to predict bungee jumper motion
