About this Simulation

This interactive spring-mass model lets students explore simple harmonic motion (SHM) by observing a mass oscillating on a spring. Adjust parameters like mass, spring constant, and initial displacement to see how the system behaves. Visualize position, velocity, and energy changes as the mass moves through complete cycles.

Learning objectives: Understand the characteristics of simple harmonic motion and the relationship between restoring force and displacement | Investigate how mass and spring stiffness affect oscillation frequency and amplitude | Analyze energy transformations between kinetic and potential energy during oscillation
