About this Simulation

This interactive simulation models a falling basketball, enabling learners to observe energy conservation in action. Students can visualize how gravitational potential energy converts into kinetic energy as the ball falls, and explore the relationship between height, velocity, and total mechanical energy throughout the motion.

Learning objectives: Understand how mechanical energy is conserved in falling objects | Apply conservation of energy principles to predict motion outcomes | Analyze the transformation between potential and kinetic energy forms
