About this Simulation

This interactive simulation models buoyancy and hydrostatic pressure by examining the relationship between the liquid height (H) and container depth (h). Students manipulate variables including container size, liquid volume, and viewing parameters to observe how pressure changes with depth and how buoyant forces depend on displaced liquid volume.

Learning objectives: Understand how hydrostatic pressure varies with liquid depth | Discover the relationship between container dimensions and liquid displacement | Apply buoyancy principles to predict equilibrium positions in fluids
